Message from Area 19 Governor

Greetings!

The Toastmasters organization provides prospective, new, and experienced Toastmasters with a wealth of opportunities to assist you in growing personally and professionally. A few of these opportunities include:

  • Learning and practicing techniques of effective public speaking in a friendly environment
  • Developing and practicing leadership skills by serving as a local club officer and/or district officer
  • Sharpening your listening skills
  • Developing the ability to "think on your feet"
  • Learning to give feedback that is encouraging and helpful
  • Learning to preside over meetings

If you are a prospective Toastmaster, I invite you to become part of a worldwide movement which has changed lives! If you are a new Toastmaster, I applaud you for your decision to improve your communication and leadership skills by joining Toastmasters! If you are an experienced Toastmaster, I commend you for establishing a foundation in your local club which allows new members to grow by observing experienced Toastmasters in action!
